For over forty years, Goodspeed Opera House has brought the area the best of musical theatre in Connecticut. Fresh reworks of comical classics along with aspiring new discoveries are once again on hand for this season. Come early to stroll along the Connecticut River, treat yourself to a romantic picnic lunch or enjoy a drink in the Porch Bar before the show. The museum also features art and artifacts that link the River’s stories to today.

The Ivoryton Playhouse

The Ivoryton Playhouse is the country's oldest self-supporting summer stock theater. Established in 1908, it began serving as a Connecticut theater in 1930. It operates June through Labor Day, and there is a wonderful children's theater on Saturday.

Garde Arts Center

As a nonprofit corporation established in 1985, the Center presents national and international touring companies, Broadway, music, dance and theater. This center for entertainment in Connecticut is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Norma Terris Theatre

This theater in Connecticut develops new musicals and nurtures emerging artists. It was named in honor of the actress Norma Terris, star of Jerome Kern’s Show Boat and a devoted patron and trustee of the Goodspeed Opera House during her later years.

Eugene O’Neil Theater Center

This memorial theater is dedicated to the development of new works for the theater and training in the theater arts. There are programs in puppetry, playwriting, musicals and cabaret.

Shubert Theater

The Shubert presents a wide array of programs to a diverse community. It offers dance, cabaret and family entertainment representing many cultures, nationalities and varieties of artistic expression. The Shubert also maintains comprehensive education and community outreach programs and makes it possible for families who might not otherwise be able to attend the theater, to come at no cost to them.

Summer Music’s goal has been to blend the talents of the most honored artists of the world with some of Connecticut’s and the region’s most talented musicians.
